Scott has developed Data Warehouses for insurance, annuity, accounting, and manufacturing data. His ETL (Extract Transform Load) routines extract data from older mainframes, transform it out of 80 column card format, normalize it, and load it into relational databases.
Scott also developed friendly PC user interfaces for updating the mainframe data. Daily updates are uploaded and applied to the mainframe data before the nightly ETL process runs resulting in a two-way ETL process.
This allowed him to develop hundreds of reports and views that allow his customers to access their data in many ways previously impossible or inconceivable. These interfaces save his customers countless dollars they used to spend on proprietary commercial application modifications.
He also has some experience building an OLAP (OnLine Analytical Processing) front-end to this same data.
